Gary Neville Parted ways with Valencia Football Club

Former Manchester United Captain, Garry Neville who was appointed as Valencia head coach nearly four months ago has been today sacked by the club after a string of poor performance.

A statement from the club’s website read; "Valencia Football Club have today parted company with Gary Neville as Head Coach," 

The club decided to terminate Neville’s contract after a careful consideration of the last couple of performances which forced a change on the management.


Pako Ayestaran, who previously served as an assistant coach under Rafael Benitez at Valencia has been appointed as a temporary replacement for Neville who will serve in the position for the remainder of the season.

Mathare united Hopeful to extend lead

League leaders Mathare United look favorable to extend their lead as they prepare to welcome their opponents, City Stars in a mid-week top-rated contest at Nyayo Stadium.

The home side has been enjoying a good start of the current season and is now on top of the table with 11 points, while City Stars are relegation threatened with just 3 points and on position 13th in the league.


Although city stars escaped relegation lasts season, it is believed that they have shown positive improvement under the current tactician, John Bobby Ogolla despite failure to record a win this season.

Arsenal set to land Portuguese starlet

The premier league side, Arsenal Fc is set to complete the signing of a Portuguese starlet, Domingos Quina in the next 48 hours in London after ending his contract at Chelsea.

Quina, who was once a Chelsea player but quitted due to competition and lack of enough play time is said to have agreed a move to the Gunners pending personal terms. Among other teams growing an interest in the signature of the starlet are Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur both from England whom are said to be currently monitoring the possibilities of recruiting the player.

Although Quina, 17, left Chelsea, he is regarded as one of the Portugal’s best upcoming football talent and has attracted attention from many top clubs around the world.

Harambee Stars blew away any chances of qualifying for 2017 AFCON final

Harambee stars hopes of qualifying for Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) have been cut short after losing 1-0 to Guinea Bissau yesterday at Nyayo National Stadium. 

Casemiro netted the first and the only goal for the visitors which was subject to the protest by both the Kenyan players and fans. As a result of the protest, the referee was forced to temporarily suspend the match up to half an hour until the situation was under control.

The protest was as a result of the decision by the referee to award the controversial goal despite Origi seemingly clearing it.
