Abel Dhaira, a former Uganda Cranes stopper passes on at the University of Icekand Hospital after months of Undergoing treatment.

Dhaira, 28, was a goalkeeper for Icelandic side, IBV Vestmannaeyjar. He suffered from a rare type of intestinal cancer late last year, but he initially thought it was stomach ulcers. This was discovered after his club granted him permission to return to his home country, Uganda, for treatment, which later revealed that the goalkeeper was suffering from intestinal cancer.

Before the incidence, Dhaira was set to be transferred to Germany for further treatment after he underwent Chemotherapy in Uganda.

IBV, then, pledged to clear his hospital bill as he underwent Chemotherapy.
